Seen yer post down below about yer mornin' gettin' off to a good start. Know just what ya mean!

I got big rocks as backfill behind my new barn. One rock, right on the NW corner of the barn has a big ol' chip out of it, fits my fundament just perfect. Every now and again, I'll go down and perch on that rock, and look down over the pasture to the stream, watchin' the sheep grazin' and the chickens scratchin' and wonder just how the heck one ol' feller can be so lucky.

I kinda use it as a barometer. If I go down to do chores in the morning, and don't get a kick out of those foolish sheep, I know I need to adjust my attitude a little bit, or it's gonna be a cranky day. Most times just reminding myself not to be in such a danged hurry, and take a second to smell the sheep poop will do the trick.

Ain't that the truth! We are lucky. I never thought about that barometer you talked about. I am going to take a close look at my "barometer. You just may have something there for my, "why am I so miserable", moods. thanks for the tip.
