that those of us fortunate enough to own a little piece of land don't live in Zimbabwe. There is a lot wrong with the USA, but it's the best place on this earth to live. I think that I will try a little harder to keep our country strong. I'm too old to re-enlist, but I can still vote. How about you???

I can see the same thing happening here with all this politically correct crap going around..In upstate NY thousands of homeowners are in a legal fight to keep there homes because of an indian land claim dating back to the 1700's and the politically correct courts have found in their favor..the good ole USA isn't what she used to be..if my land was being threatened like that, I would say theres 10,000 of us and 500 of you, no matter what any court says.. your not getting my home and I will defend it with my life

If you've ever done a little reading on the subject, I don't think you'd be feeling too upset about what's happening over there. I'm not talking about the white farmers specifically, they are certainly being victimized in today's time and place ... however our old friend Cecil Rhodes was a white fella and was pretty nasty when it came to taking the country from it's rightful owners many years ago and nobody seemed too concerned about it. Of course the same thing happened here in North America too, our native Indians were the victims that time. Funny how history repeats itself, and the goodguy - badguy scenario always isn't the same depending on which side of the fence you're on.

I can't argue with you , H.B.-Pcc-AL    Posted 08-12-2002 at 19:05:23       [Reply]  [No Email]
History is one of my weaknesses. I should have devoted my entire education to it, but didn't.
I hate to say it, but there is a good argument to the "might makes right" theory. I'm just glad we (USA) have always been on the winning side (so far). Good luck.

Don't worry, the "blame America first" crowd will not be happy with what you said. Zimbabwe is a model we should all strive to emulate.

I hope you are joking, Les-Pcc-AL    Posted 08-12-2002 at 18:11:45       [Reply]  [No Email]
because this is scarey. If you don't think so, listen to Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton about Reparation (sp).

Fear not folks! If you took all the assets in the world and redestributed them equally in about two years they would all be back where they are now.

You see people win lotteries and fritter everything away in a few months too. Fact is - people ARE where they want to be! Worriers know how to live worried, and gossippers wouldn't want to deal face-to-face. Besides, the poor don't always know it. We didn't. We just thought times were a little hard. Still are. :)

I agree, Bob-Pcc-AL    Posted 08-12-2002 at 18:57:56       [Reply]  [No Email]
but I may not have two years to give away. At my age you never know. Good luck.
