Thought you might like to see a photo of the gang of turkeys that come up when it is quiet around our place. Starting to carry the camera with us more & more. Helps to share with the grandparents who can't get to the farm anymore.

We really enjoy seeing the photos you all have put in the photo gallery. Good place to look and be reminded about what is important and worth protecting.

I can see the turkeys in the bottom photo.

Nice flock in the distance but I suppose if you got any closer they might have flew off.

Sure was nice to watch them. We're in a hard drought here. They come up near the house for the bugs. I guess it is because we water the grass some around the house. We have other pictures of them within 15 feet of the back door. Fun to watch how the chicks walk in single file. Occasionally one will jump straight up and snatch a bug. The birds in the picture are about 30 yards out. I went for the camera and they didn't get to bothered by it. When I went for a 2nd. cup of Joe the birds had worked their way out to the hay shed.

I looked all over that barn and still can't find the turkeys...

Look just under the barn... somehow Mark's building out west got on top of those hens & chicks back east!
