Since I am new here and just jumped in, I thought I owed an introduction.
My name is Stephen D Smith (Smitty), age 61, retired Postman 30 years and was in the USAF 129th Air Commandos. I live in NE Ca. Canyon Dam (pop 35) in Plumas County in the middle of Plumas National Forest. My collection consists of 1948 AC C, 1948 JD M and 1953 Ford Golden Jubilee. I lived in Clark County Mo. in a small town Called Luray (pop 98) where I helped my father farm 780 acres. I hope to meet many of you in the future.
Smitty

Sometimes the less I say the smarter I look, so I'll just say WELCOME.

Man, those are some pretty big towns that you've lived in. Oh well, it's nice to have some big city boys join in too. Just be careful about some of the crowd here, fellas like Gimpleg, Fergus, Jake, Grove r, Alberta Mike, Deadcarp, etc. They can be pretty hard to understand sometimes what with their involvement in pineapple farming up north in Alberta and the Yukon. And whatever you do, don't tell them you've got an Essex Tri-Directional (ETD) sitting in your uncle's machine shed.

Gimpleg Fagon    Posted 08-17-2002 at 13:47:07       [Reply]  [Send Email]
Well don't worry, nobody's goin to hold none of that stuff in your post against ya for very long.

DeadCarp    Posted 08-17-2002 at 08:53:03       [Reply]  [No Email]
Greetings from the Heartland of God's Country, central Minnesota. Hope it's warmer than 50s at the dam today. If this keeps up, i'll be needing a recipe for FROZEN green tomatoes. :)

Hi Smitty - me too. Isn't this a great site? I've been solidly reading for an hour - and to a Brit much of it is soooo exotic

Jake from Jakes Corner, Yukon Territory    Posted 08-17-2002 at 19:33:08       [Reply]  [Send Email]
Well Jane, I know I speak for Gimpleg, Fenwick, Fergus, grove r, Hogman, F14, Bob/Ont., DeadCarp and a bunch of others when I say there ain't much we like better than being exotic. So, just let us know when we ain't bein' exotic enough and we'll try to do better..... Ya know, the more I think on it, the more I like being EXOTIC!

Bob /Ont.    Posted 08-17-2002 at 19:56:18       [Reply]  [Send Email]
Them Yukon Gold pineapples are sort of exotic too Jake, everyone likes them.
