Cut outa work yeasterday early and went by the farmer union for a cutian rod and came out with an arm load of seeds. I just couldnt wait any longer. Still a 5 foot snowbank beside the garden where i plowed it off all winter, but i got some cold crop stuff in anyways, peas, onions, spinach, and brocoli. Has anybody had much luck with brocoli from seed in the garden? i ussaly plant seedlins. U southern folks probably already pickin peas and eatin spinach. Nothin like a bowl of peas, new taters with butter and cream to give ya a heart attack!

Chief, I've been eatin' taters outa my garden for a while, now. Those fresh taters are the best for just about everything...tater salad, french fries, hash browns, etc. Have you noticed that they are even better if you take'm straight from the dirt to the stove?

Anything done in real cow cream, was eatin'. I remember the cream so thick you had to take it off with a big spoon,(Jersey cow cream , of course!), now that would even make a purty good breakfast out of cheerio's or wheaties.
Lookin' forward to turnin' that dirt myself. Need some more sun.
