Moved into this house in January..noticed no problems w/ water pressure, etc. Now, when taking a shower the water stops entirely, then after about 3-4 seconds it comes back on..with more water pressure...sort of like the pump has kicked on. Kitchen sink does that too. Is this the pump or is the well getting low? Thanks!

have had same problem many times,
as willy n said sounds like pressue tank
is water logged,
i put a air valve on side of pressure tank
and when it got water logged i would turn
pump off, open a faucet and with air tank add air
if you use this procedure make sure your air tank
and air compresser is clean, especially if it
is for household use, good luck

This is a perfet dicription of a totaly water logged tank. When you turn the water on the pressure drops off imeditly then the pump turns on and you get presure again. You need to check your presure tank out. Mark H.

Guys, thanks....monkeyed around w/ it over the weekend and increased the cut off pressure. That seemed to improve the situation! Thanks again.

Sounds like your pressure switch is bad/going bad, or just needs adjusting.
