This is a slight vent.

Evertime I try to Brush hog the grass, my mower breaks a shear pin on the drive shaft. Today It really worked good until it finally broke the shear pin AND the u-joint.

So I started to mow with Toni's mower and the spindle on the left side froze up.

This is the real reason I don't get anything done LOL

Now if I just find where Toni hid the Cooking Sherry I can sit down and relax with my Remote.

Are you sure, when the wonderful wife goes to bed at night, you guys do not go out and sorta, maybe, well maybe do a little of this and do a little of that so low and behold nothing works.
I know this may sound "farfetched', but your story cgiles could have been written by Dennis!
Bad enough Dennis does his rain dance, I wonder if he is doing a "Break This" dance!!???
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

Hey EIEIO, I often wonder the same thing. I notice if it's something Mark wants to do, it gets fixes mighty quick, like the frig, ac, or van (gotta go to town and get beer, ya know) but my Bronco has sat since December when he bought it for me. Needs a fender and a headlight assembly and he still can't find the parts. I think I'm abeginnin not to believe him. You gave me some food for thought! Later, rachel

Well, ladies. You have two options.
1. Learn to do it yourself. This is the way to shame them. It doesnd't always work. They just ridicule your attempts. Then you have to dig deep holes in the woods, clean up the shotgun, learn about forensics. (see, it does get involved).
or
2. Use the testosterone against them. Listen carefully to their conversation, especially after they had about 3 beers. Find out whose attempts they ridicule and try to show up. Then ask that person to fix (whatever it is). This works well.
M-M-M-huh. Very well. I have a Son-in-law, a make believe son-in-law, and a grand-son-in-law. One of them is a genius, but far be it for me to tell.

Dennis, if I might write seroiusly for a moment, you should get both of the U joints changed on the drive shaft and make sure they are timmed right( usually there is a dead spline to take care of timeing). That might have been hard on the shear pins due to the vibration they caused.

Hogman    Posted 08-26-2002 at 19:10:27       [Reply]  [No Email]
Hey Dennis, try pourin some of that cookin Sherry mixed with oil in tha gear box mabe. Just a thought.
Unless You are realy clobberin things with it should not just keep breakin pins.
I know You ain't got no rocks there, nothin but "DEEP.FLAT,FIRTLE" land, barron of stones, stumps, sprouts er Alligators.
I used ta have lots of big rocks here, now thanks to much brush hoggin I have many times more much smaller rocks. Someday there will be nothin but gravel, too small for ole Hog ta whang. It all takes time'n shear pins.

Bob /Ont.    Posted 08-26-2002 at 19:23:19       [Reply]  [Send Email]
Hogman, just thought of something, Dennis said he also took out a U joint. Bad U joints can be hard on drive lines, maybe when he replaces them he'll not shear as many pins.
Later Bob

ger /bad joints    Posted 08-26-2002 at 19:48:55       [Reply]  [No Email]
