BREED FOR SPEED!! HERE'S YOUR NEW STALLION**ALYDAR**SEATTLE SLEW
[Return to Topics]

Jessica    Posted 08-29-2002 at 12:56:24       [Reply]  [Send Email]
This is honestly the find of a lifetime. He is a Grandson of ALYDAR on top and Great Grandson of SEATTLE SLEW on bottom! This stallion would make someone a great breeding stallion for FAST horses and for English horses. He is naturally talented in his movement with lots of speed and an extended jog to die for. He is bred to the hilt and built very nice at 16.0+ hands, 1100lbs, very red sorrel, three white feet and big full white blaze. He is so cheaply priced because he is note broke as of right now and has had limited handling and exposure to things outside of being lead and brushed once in a while. I found him in a 12’x24’ corral and the people who had him were NOT horse people by any means and have had him since he was a yearling (now almost 6). She thought she always wanted a “race horse” so she could make it a barrel racer, but because he was a stallion and bit more to handle, she became afraid of him and left him in his stall. He is NOT mean, just playful and unaware of how to behave, so I’m teaching him respect and manners slowly. He is a bit skittish but very brave. I (a 5’2” woman) am getting him used to being handled more everyday. He is longing on a small line, walking, trotting, and stopping by voice command. He leads great and is not pushy. For standing for so long and not much room to move he is very nice looking and has natural muscle and with a little work will look outstanding. His feet are in bad condition (never been done) but surprisingly he moves INCREDIBLY GOOD and very sound! He has an extended jog that most Dressage riders would drool over and lots of spirit and looks. I must say that this is a find beyond any other. This would be the ideal stallion to pasture breed nice appendix Quarter Horses and Thoroughbreds to get some speed and elegant movement. I unfortunately am not a breeder and do not have the facility or the time but would like some breeding rights. I truly think at $3,500 he is a real deal and will more than pay for him self after selling one or two foals. ALL OFFERS CONSIDERED! I will be taking pictures soon, email me for them, jhanson@biosite.com

I just spilled my coffee. Is that what you meant by BURNING BRIDGES ON THE INTERNET BECAUSE YOU DON'T KNOW WHO...etc..etc???

Jessica    Posted 08-29-2002 at 14:33:14       [Reply]  [Send Email]
Why do you ask? By the way, I'm the one being attacked not the attacker!

No one attacked you...    Posted 08-29-2002 at 14:40:34       [Reply]  [No Email]
Please list where you were attacked...I made a jest about your horse...and you flew off the handle...

Jessica    Posted 08-29-2002 at 14:43:48       [Reply]  [Send Email]
Your "jest" that suggested him dead (used for meat). That I found to be rude and not very nice. I'm sorry if I took it the wrong way.

Scott Hansen..NAH    Posted 08-29-2002 at 14:35:38       [Reply]  [Send Email]
I'm thinking you did your share of attacking.

Jessica    Posted 08-29-2002 at 14:44:28       [Reply]  [Send Email]
Only on the defense.

Dennis    Posted 08-29-2002 at 14:24:05       [Reply]  [Send Email]
Jessica, Chill out please. This site is a great place for humor and other topics and if anyone is angry it appears to be you.
We understand you wanting to get a good home for the abused horse but this site is just not the place to do it. We have a trading post and you can post it there if you so chose to do.
Think it over and have a great day, if you want to.

Hey Dennis...    Posted 08-29-2002 at 14:30:59       [Reply]  [Send Email]

Hmmmm. So you think you're smart huh. I think you might have too much time on your hands. But I like your dedication, I could use some people like that. Interested?

Sorry...    Posted 08-29-2002 at 14:43:08       [Reply]  [No Email]
Wrong coast...But I do like you ;-)
This is the most fun I have had since this morning when I split another cord by hand...then I had to meet the bus...feed The Girl lunch...feed The Wife lunch...then I did inside stuff due to the rain...

Jessica    Posted 08-29-2002 at 14:30:48       [Reply]  [Send Email]
I'm sorry if I come across as mad. I'm more upset because I'm being attacked for no real good reason. If I could delete this posting here I would. I'm sorry if I have bothered anyone, it was not my intentions. Hope everyone can go on and have a better day.

YOU KNOW, YOU PEOPLE ARE SAD ON THIS SITE. I'VE GOT NOTHING BUT GOOD RESPONSE FROM OTHER SITES. THE ONLY REASON I POSTED THIS IS TO SEE IF THERE WAS ANY INTEREST IN HIM AS A STALION BEFORE I SPENT ALL THE MONEY ON GOOD ADVERTISING. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO READ SOMETHING, DON'T, VERY SIMPLE. PEOPLE LIKE YOU ARE SO BUSY COMPAINING ABOUT THINGS YOU MISS THE GOOD STUFF. I HOPE YOU LEARN TO ENJOY LIFE AND IGNORE THE ANNOYANCES OTHERWISE YOU WILL HAVE A SAD LIFE. I'M DONE WASTING TIME WITH YOU AND WILL NOT RESPOND AFTER THIS AS I DO HAVE A LIFE! JUST A SIDE NOTE: YOU REALLY SHOULD WATCH WHAT YOU SAY AND WHOM TO BECUASE THIS IS A SMALL WORLD AND YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT BRIDGES YOU MAY BE BURNING...WORD OF ADVISE.

If that horse has the lines you say then you should be asking in the 6 figure range...you may want to learn abit more about life before you start using all caps too...I am old...not deaf...This is for you if you are hearing impaired...HAVE A GREAT DAY BABE!

Jessica    Posted 08-29-2002 at 14:12:19       [Reply]  [Send Email]

I'M USING ALL CAPS IN YOUR MESSAGES FOR A REASON!!! I HAVE HIS PAPERS IDIOT AND I HAVE BEEN IN THE INDUSTRY FOR YEARS AND MY FAMILY OWNS ONE OF THE BIGGEST HORSE PRODUCT BUSINESS IN THE INDUSTRY (take a one guess and you're probably right) AND I HAVE SHOWN ON THE NATIONAL CIRCUIT IN MANY DIFFERENT DISCIPLINES AND WON MANY NATIONAL AWARDS IN MY TIME. I KNOW FOR A FACT I HAVE MORE EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE THEN YOU, THAT I'M SURE OF. I NEVER BOAST ABOUT MY TIES BUT KNOW IT'S NEEDED RIGHT NOW. LIKE I SAID YOU NEVER KNOW WHO YOU'RE TALKING TO VIA INTERNET AND DON'T BURN BRIDGES.

Jessie by the sound of your credentials you must be like the rest of the horse crowd I have had the plaesure to meet, A DAY LATE AND A DOLLAR SHORT.
Later Bob

GusandEdie    Posted 08-29-2002 at 14:21:15       [Reply]  [No Email]
You have crossed the line now you little brat. When you start calling people idiots you show exactly the type of person you are, worthless. Nobody cares about you or your so called credentials. You also have no idea whether or not you know more about the horse business than others. If your family is so big in the horse industry why are you trying to sell this horse on the internet? Being such a big profesional outfit and all.

Jessica    Posted 08-29-2002 at 14:38:27       [Reply]  [Send Email]
For fun and to keep busy and because I care about horses that are neglected or abused. Something I'm sure you would know nothing about.

Jessica    Posted 08-29-2002 at 14:48:58       [Reply]  [Send Email]
Please explain to me how I was nasty? That was the last think I tried to be, so I'm sorry if that's what it seemed.

I am burning nothing...    Posted 08-29-2002 at 14:15:46       [Reply]  [No Email]
You are the loud bragart here...IN a previous post you state that you do not have the facilities to turn him out, but now you say that you are a big fish...which is it...and why don't you show him to someone 'in the know' in the industry if you are so connected...and didn't you say that you were not going to reply anymore anyway?...
Kids...sheesh...I remember when I had my first beer too...

Jessica    Posted 08-29-2002 at 14:42:16       [Reply]  [Send Email]
I wish I was a kid, but thanks anyway. I have all mares and a few geldings and it is not far to keep a stallion I'm not going to breed but maybe once because I have show Quarter Horses. I have a place for him to stay but he should be out in a pasture full of mares making nice babies. It's not a matter of facility (structure wise) as it is facility (what I do). Sorry, if I was confusing.

ger    Posted 08-29-2002 at 14:49:48       [Reply]  [No Email]
if you know about horses you would know that a stud has a rotten life always kept penned up somewhere so if by now you have not used him for breeding then why haven,t you fixed him unless or course your only interested in getting more money for him as a stud rather than a gelding

Jessica    Posted 08-29-2002 at 14:59:21       [Reply]  [Send Email]
Man you're being ruthles with questions. That's okay because I will answer them. I have only had him 4 days and I have him in a 200x125 turn out arena so he can run all day and he is unable to see or smell the mares. You had a good point and that is why I'm trying so hard to find a breeding home for him as soon as possible becuase if I don't I will geld him. He is very happy and knows he we rescued because his personality is so much different from when I saw him in his little whole. I promise I would not put him in another bad situation.

ger    Posted 08-29-2002 at 15:09:00       [Reply]  [No Email]
if thats the case then good for you but if he was so valuable as breeding stock don,t you think the last owners would of tried to make money of f him , you say he,s 6 yrs old an never had his feet done i suprised he can even walk any body that takes alook at him aren,t gonna let their mares around him if he was that neglected did they even worm him? anyway if your helping him then thats good remember the really important issue is the welfare of the animal not what somebody can put in their pocketbooks

EIEIO    Posted 08-29-2002 at 14:04:03       [Reply]  [No Email]
Guess we all better put on the tinfoil derbys and duct tape, I think we have been threatened!!??

Boy howdy she is a spoiled one!
EIEIO, been busy with work and the work when I get home. The misses keeps me quite busy here lately, she knows that hunting season I am kinda hard to find at times! :) She is getting all she can while the getting is good. Not to worry though I'll make sure everything is taken care of...

Don't pout Jessica everybody makes mistakes, and cut back on the capitalization of your words it makes it hard to read on these old eyes...
