Tomatoes--2d harvest

Few weeks ago, we got what we figured was the last of our tomatoes, about 2 bushels. The plants had been stressed by the drought and heat, so we got what we could and canned them.

Took a walk this afternoon in the rain down to the 'big garden' and saw some tomatoes hanging. So we grabbed a half-bushel basket and started picking...and picking...eventually filled 3 bushels heaping from our 'dead plants!' Now it is canning time again.

Love gardening, 'cuz you never know what goodies you are gonna find.

Congratulations! My 6 plants didn't even make a bushel on the only harvest! Sorriest harvest I ever had.

My "Better Boys" have been turning one at a time
instead of all at once. Fresh ones each day for
lunch! (I do not see making juice this year.)
