It's rainy and dank here in the armpit (Manhattan) of America. MANHATTAN - a legend in its own mind.

P.S. I'm allowed to make fun of my city because I am a native son (of a gun).

Went and fetched my backhoe back from a job I wasn't sure I was finished with (turned out I was, after talking to the carpenter and the concrete feller) switched equipment and tilled the part of the garden that has been harvested, switched equipment again and mowed 3-4 acres of beaver marsh behind my daughter's place.

Wore myself plumb out. Belive I'll see if my couch has those same properties that other feller was talking about...

Got the Jonsereds going and cut up a mess of wood to add to what was already cut up. Then fahred up the old VAC w/woodsplitter and started splitting. Neighbor heard the tractor barkin and came over and helped. I think we split up most of a cord.
Was sposta be cloudy/rainy here today but so far the sun has won out.
Gotta go to a fambly picanic in a few minutes at our campground, now that the goofers have all gone away.

Not really. I castrated my little pigs and did a few other things around the place so I could take it easy today. I better get down to the hog house now to do chores. I was just waiting for it to stop raining. I guess I'm just a fair weather after all. :-)

I'm thinking about going out and stacking firewood. But at this point it is only thinking. There are a few obsticals on the way out to the pile though, mainly a nice comfy couch right on my porch that I have to pass by. And that darn thing has some kind of mind control thingy going on. Everytime I walk past it, I get real sleepy and want to lay on it, at first I think," I'll only lay down for a minute" about an hour later I wake up. The couch is VERY powerful !!!!

Not much laboring goin on here today. A few farm chores and a little bit of the honeydo list then it's flop down on the front porch and watch it rain, (or not) and fire up the grill.
Sorry about the screwup on your name the other day Joe, I guess just a little punchy from being tired.
Enjoy the holiday,
