Lost completely,Jiffy Lube, feed store/elevator,convenience store, church, top floor off 3 story motel, roof off senior living apt bldg, many damaged missing roof, severe damage, many will have to be razed.Thousands of broken windows, another large brick church severely damaged.Unimaginable amount of building debris and tree parts.Pics at KSTP.com,CNN.com,Milwaukee Journal/Sentinel site.www.weatherchannel.com etc etc////We got hit Hard, but property is replaceable.NO loss of life is a blessing.

Area of worst damage is thru center of "downtown",appx 1/8x1 mile, lesser damage on fringes.

Tonights figures:
Appx 160 building total damaged requiring serious repair. This figure includes everything, commercial and residential. Many buildings mostly commercial will have to be razed due to structural damages. Many of the damaged commercial buildings had apts on second floor, which were opened to the elements when roofs, dormers, walls were torn away.I saw appx a 2 dozen homes with serious damage to roofs etc,but most are probably repairable/salvagable.Virtually every buiding in the "downtown business district" suffered some damage from blown out windows to ripped off roofs, facias, storefronts.TV satellite trucks were on us like locusts today, same w/helicopters so tonights news will prolly have updates.Thankfully as strike only lasted a few minutes followed by clearing skies, water damage to opened structures was minimal.Amazingly NO fires broke out in spite of damaged gas lines, arcing power lines etc keeping damage even more limited.Massive volunteer effort from local and surrounding areas is really helping cleanup.Injury(minor) toll is at appx 60 w/todays late reports.Still No fatalities related.Thx again for your thoughts and prayers.

That's what worried me about it.

I knew what they are reporting here did'nt make much sense compared to what you had said this morning. It did'nt change much on the national news here tonite or if it did I missed it.

That warehouse type bldg they're showing is the bottom 2 stories of a 3 story motel. The brick church they're showing is the badly damaged Congregational? church, not the completely leveled frame Baptist Church 3 blocks away.Several of the lost buildings are just that,GONE,nothing to really show from the air.Keep in mind that this is an old city where building walls abutted or were shared in some cases. Also not visible in the downtown area are vehicles buried in building
debris, all downtown streets were impassable from debris, damaged vehicles.Tonights update put twister at F3,winds from 158-206 mph.
