Sod cutter

howdy....I am going to rent a sod cutter, but would love some tips on how to use the darn thing.
I think its the "kick" kind vs. motorized, but info on both is greatly appreciated.

Get the motorized one. We created a large garden space with one. Cut the grass away and minimize the weeds. You basicly just set the depth of your cut. Will depend on type of grasses your cutting and type of soil. Then hit the switch. Unit will walk down the grass. Some sod cutters have legnth cuts some dont. You dont want to have sections more than about 3ft. Grass is heavy!!!!
