I need to find a place that sells fire brick for a warm morning coal stove made by Looke Stove company of Kansas City MO. Modle number A/S 112A dated 1943. The curved brick is fine I need the raised brick with what looks like legs on either side of the stove, they allow better heat transfer. Any information would be a great help.

I have an old Locke Stove (oil burning) And I was wondering if there is a web site that I can go to , to find out some info on the type of stove that I have. What it was used for? What year it was made. ect. ect. ect.

If you have broken fire bricks, they can be repaired. I couldn't find replacement bricks either, but ended up cementing them back together with refractory cement and then had them fired/cured in a kiln at a local ceramics shop. That worked great and they are now usable!

I have a warm morning model #24. Any bites?

I worked at the plant that built the Warm Morning brand coal stoves and am sorry to tell you they went bankrupt about 1990. I left in 1987, but am pretty sure no one bought the rights, dies, patterns, etc; to any of the coal stoves. The firebrick, for the other inquiries, was made by A.P.Green in Mexico, Missouri. I do believe the Green family sold the business and it eventually went bankrupt also. Sorry for such bad news since they were terrific stoves.

Donald Braddy Locke employee; do you know of any web site that might have the old instruction manuals for these stoves. I have a Model 417A (I think) that I just took to a friends house. We hooked it up yesterday & it's still purring along but he would like info on it. I obtained it from my wife's uncle 15 yrs ago & he got it second or third hand.
Thank You in advance for any info or comments you might have.

I have a Warm Morning coal stove for sale. ($100) I replaced the sheet steel parts with heavier gage steel (12 Gauge). The cast iron parts are perfect and all of the firebrick is intact. Grates and shaker complete.

Try the link below. They probably aren't a source of the brick but likely they can give you a string that will lead you to what you want.

We also have a Warm Morning wood stove by Looke Stove Company, model 522. We are using it as a wood burning stove and it works great. I don't know the age of it,but we also need a new grate and a top door. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I see where they went out of business, and that is too bad as these are wonderful stoves, but if anyone can tell me where to get these parts needed it would be great.

Jonathan Maxson    Posted 11-19-2006 at 07:22:14       [Reply]  [Send Email]
For Warm Morning parts try I purchased two shaker grate handles for mine. One worked, the other didn't fit right. When I complained they did right by me. So from that I conclude they are worthy of a recommendation. Jonathan
