Hey yall,
Hope everyone has been well...I have been busier than a cat covering crap on a marble floor.
Since I last was here...I tamed the wild canning beast. Thanks to a coment made my someone about not appreciating the bounty at hand. I really have been much more thankful. Thanks for redirecting my thoughts. I also have done a good bit of research on my family tree. It has been fascinating.

I have also conqured: making my own bread and biscuts. It has been a great learning process.

My next goal is to learn to churn butter in a wooden churn. I asked my sweetie for a cow for Christmas. I siad I would like a nice milking cow that has a sweet smile.

So that is about all the news from here. If anyone here in Oregon has fresh from the cow milk available I am intested in getting some. I have not been able to find anyone who has any.

Happy End of Summer!

ahhhhh fresh cow's milk.
when I was a teenager (WAY back when) a neighbour supplied us with all our milk from her cow plus the cream for butter. What Id give for a ice cold glass of milk and toast with that butter right about now.

Sounds like you are enjoying all that you are learning! Glad to hear from you and good luck on getting that milk cow for Christmas.
