MY good neighbors, and very good friends, lost their only child last night. He came over a hill on his motorcycle and lost control, hit a tree and it broke his neck. He died instantly. He was a senior in high school.

I'm so sorry for your friend. I can not even imagine the loss of a child. I'll be praying for them.

I'm sorry to hear this also.

My Mother took me to the funeral of 2 15 year old boys when I was 15. They were hit by a car while riding a motorcycle. It made me think about the danger of mine.

So sorry to hear that. Will throw up an extra prayer for the rider and his family.

Sorry to read the sad news jamo,
Looking back I can remember feeling invincible. We aren't supposed to bury our children. I'm thankful that they have a neighbor like you to know how to help when help is needed.
All of you are in our prayers.

Prayers and condolances to the family from all of us in central PA, biking is scary for all of us, and more so for the young and brave

I am really sorry about the kid. I have owned Bikes and I always swore that my kids would never be allowed to own one untill they were out of the house on their own. Motorcycles and teen testosterone the worst possible concotion.

Yeah, then again once we got stateside i went thru my Harley days and survived (it didn't seem to matter much right then - i had an axe to grind but that's another story) - i think the only thing a parent can do is step back, let them make their own mistakes and hope they're unbelievably lucky like you were. After awhile mebbe they'll notice. :)
