My thoughts on the spam controversy!

Patria, I did not make the connection to you, I should have when you gave your location. Anyway to all of you who have my info. Please feel free to use it at any time.
I do dumb things like answer a request for pic's of old equipment, or a modification I made to our equipment and I have to write back and ask what it was about when I get an e-mail. I check in daily here and on the tractor boards and I have gotten many e-mail that I recognize by the subject line. I have never had a problem with any mail from these boards.
My thoughts are, This was a great idea and it came to life quicker than I ever thought it could. (thanx to those who followed through)
If I receive offensive e-mail I simply block the sender. If you call my home an I'm in bed, I won't hear it and the dogs won't answer the phone. If I receive offensive mail, well we still burn paper here several times a week.
Now If someone comes to my home uninvited, thats a little harder to handle, first I have to walk out and let the rotty loose, then I have to come back in and load the gun, then I have to call off the rotty, see all thats too much work (grin).
What I'm saying is that I have made a great bunch of friends here, and you are all welcome anytime. It is just like being here, stop by anytime, but I won't be there unless you put the latch string out. (put ur e-mail in a post) so please don't fret about offending me or Donna.
So lets worry about important stuff like has anyone heard from cowboy joe since 9-11-02? and that feller that said we got dumb turkeys in PA.
Now that ticked me off.
Sorry for goin on so long
Ron

Well Ron...if you need info about old equipment, have questions about modifications for it? wanna know 'behavior patterns' of chicken and pigs?,harvesting, tedding hay..hm..don't ask me!
But if you're traveling, feel free to ask, anything at all, and my reply will also be...free of charge.[had to say this, LOL]
There's so much more to life[than farming or traveling] and the isues discussed here come from a wide array of topics,so while learning about farming, the whole nine yards of every day living are analized here also,in a serious and fun way.
I've made many friends here and we keep in touch, that's why I sent the mail, and got a nice feedback; but for one or two. Can't make everybody happy,I can only give it a try...and [almost always] it's worth it.

Mike D. - Sorry Ron.    Posted 09-25-2002 at 08:31:04       [Reply]  [No Email]
It was meant to come off funny, but I failed - again. There ain't a cagier bird on the planet than our wild turkeys in my opinion. Them birds up in Pa. included.

Hey mike, I was joking as well it was meant as a bit of sarcasm. (grin) If you didn't see my reply to your other post, go look.
