I live in SW Mo. Farm is just outside small town called Miller. Beef and Hay. I did not mean to upset anyone about the yellow jackets and mothballs, but that triggered my rememberer about a joke I heard years ago. So please do not think I was making fun of the advice that was given prior to my crack. I have let the wife in on my little secret of this site, and she wanted to know what part of MO. Donna is from so if it is not to foward Donna, What part of the state are you from? You will find that I can be opionated at times but am always looking for a good laugh but do not want one at someone elses expense I am glad that a few got a chuckle and will probably send one or twwo along the way. I always hit the right keys but this putor thing does not seem to know that as I have told my wife and four kids listen to what I think and not what I say. Better go for now. Later

You mean you ARN'T suppose to throw the moth balls. I wish someone would say something sooner, I've been throwing moth balls all after noon trying to hit those suckers.

Donna from Missouri    Posted 09-29-2002 at 15:36:26       [Reply]  [Send Email]
Hi, if you meant this Donna, I am east of Kansas City just a little, in Lafayette county. I was born in raised in north Missouri, near the Iowa line; and my husband was born in the Lake of the Ozarks area (Versailles) and has many relatives there. So we are Missouri through and through. I'm a refugee from AOL and their chat rooms, and enjoy the friendly banter and slow-paced country talk on this board.

Thanks for the reply. I have relatives in the KC area and have been through your part of the state. Visite friends at the Air Foce base I think was in that area. Knob Knoster I believe. My wife grew up in Colorado I met her in Wash. state after around ten years I drug her back home. I just could not or would not get home out of my system. She has taken it pretty good though.

Welcome aboard and yes do take your shoes off but while you are doing that put your muck boots on. I always advise everyone new it does get deep here, very deep and the taller the boots the better off you are.

What's the matter with having a laugh at somebody else's expense? By gum you better get used to that if you're gonna hang around here. Meanness ain't appreciated, though. ";^)

Sid, greetings from central PA. and welcome to the board. You need to kick your shoes off, lean back and visit awhile, then you should run as fast as you can the other way. These people are always yelling at you for something. (big grin)
Ron

Well, Sid, I'd say you'll fit right in here. The feller what snapped at ya appears to be new too, and apparently hasn't lurked much, or he'd know we're mostly all weisenheimers here.

Personally, I'm always a bit surprised when I get a straight answer...

Hi, F14, Sid.....I always am serious.....just that people only see the Norse side of me......gawd, it's a burden!! tried pills and everything..... just one of those "no-cure" afflictons that come about every once in a while......just when I think I got it licked....there it is again.....seems to happen whenever I try to converse with people.... thats why I rarely post....just like to sit in the background......have a gooder, R.E.L.

Sid    Posted 09-29-2002 at 13:41:25       [Reply]  [Send Email]
Fellow gave me a cure all one time and it really works only problem is he is no longer around and I can't remember what it is but I know it worked ever time I tried it. I must have done it fifty eleven times and it really works I just can't remember what it was. I am sorry I can't remember but I know it would help your affliction.

Know what you mean, Sid, the memory is the secound thing to go.....sure glade to have you here, glad you didn't slap the hand that was extended to you in freindship, as happened below, you will find us a right tolerable bunch, that DO help if we can, the humor is just a bonus. Sometimes, what seems like a dumb answer, will have a lot of merrit....these people have seen and done things that most others can only dream about, and when I see an unorthodox answer, I sit back and figure it out......obviously the poster is trying to tell us something.....maybe it won't work for everybody... but we are given the option of using or rejecting, the choice is ours. So, come on in, and set a spell....you will do just fine. Have a gooder, R.E.L.
