This is what a found re fox grape jelly, it is a name of a grape.

Concord grape

NOUN: A cultivated variety of the fox grape having dark blue to purple-black skin, used for making jelly, juice, and wine.

Muscadine or Scuppernong may be other names for"wild"fox grapes according to some sources.This name is covered in link on jellies posted at original post.

Never heard of a fox grape being called a muscadine. Both grow wild along the creeks here in Ar.
Both make fine Jelly. Muscadines peels make great cobblers. The inside makes just as good muscadine butter.
No, I don't do it. Mom use to when I was a youngster.

No offense taken or meant EI,I hadn't been able to find anything on "fox" grape recipes but found some under the other names and was just passin it along this AM.Sorry if it sounded like I was disrespectin your post or such...joe

Sorry here also, I should never post anything until I have had at least three cups of coffee. This is the main reason Dennis sleeps in - he knows I am a real B---h in the morning. About the only ones happy to see me in the morning are the critters because they don't understand all my *^*&$&$@(**& words.
