I know it's fall....but....did every one go into hybernation??? DC, Les and F14 are 'bout the onlyest ones left around here......we have lost a lot of moral support, and I feel alone and unwanted as time slips away.......was it something I said?? or did every one wind up being victems of an enternal purging of a diabolical and subversive nature? Will this saga wind up being a chapter on the X Files or a topic in "Dipleys Believe It Or Don't"?? Gonna be a long cold, quiet winter without Kountry Talk.....have a gooder, if your out there, R.E.L.

I realize I'm answering a very old reply...however... I most certainly remember TJ Swan's Easy Nights & Mellow Days wine! It helped me get through the summer in 1976! And what a great summer that was!

I been away at a Secret Konklave of the Knights of the [deleted], Nawtheastern Division.

We've made really great progress on restoring our [deleted], all we need now is a source for Unobtainium to machine a replacement fizzilator flange for the exhaust recyling. The current one leaks, and the dang fuel bunker keeps overflowing.

How's things out your way?

I know the feeling, my best buddy invited me over to his house this weekend. When I showed up there was a sign on the door telling me that he left for a 3 day weekend, it also left instructions for feeding his animals!!!????

H. Andrew Merklethrope    Posted 10-05-2002 at 12:34:17       [Reply]  [No Email]
Unobtainium has always been a problem in this applications. Service Bulletin 31-223ACM states: "when Unobtainium is not available the use of Nearunobtainium is authorized in non- structual applications. Almostunobtainium is NOT authorized for any application." Hope this helps.

Fawteen    Posted 10-05-2002 at 15:43:52       [Reply]  [No Email]
By golly, I TOLD them that Nearunobtainium would work, but noooooooo, the Sergeant-at-Arms of the Korrect Police wouldn't hear of it. It's Unobtainium or nothing!

Whatta maroon...

Just sold the last one this morning! This one had the nutless adapter plate too (w/female threads) - woulda snapped right on! Any luck decreasing your fuel mileage? Pesky things are notorious for overflowing as long as the yeast stays warm ........

grove r, I can only say this without breaching the Official Secrets Act: Jake, Fenwick, Gimpleg, Norbert and some of the others have been recalled and are on "Special Assignment." For security reasons their locations and duties cannot be identified.

Hi, WallSal55....such a joy to here from someone!!!! I'm not alone afterall....oh joy!!! it is so traumatic being alone...all alone...but, now, there is hope.....thank you, thank you, thank you, you are indeed a saint, a schoolar, and, a judge of good whiskey, skole, R.E.L.

WallSal55    Posted 10-05-2002 at 10:41:12       [Reply]  [No Email]
Well, I do not know about being a good judge of
whiskey, but I do remember in my younger days--
at 19, one shot was mighty good. And just that--one. And call it quits, as it burnt all the way down.
That's how this lady handled whiskey, as taught to me by my elders. One shot rearranged any
confused thinking on any problem I had. Things
suddenly got quite clear to me (as it burnt all
the way down). At least for me, that's how it
worked, went straight to that cognitive, thinking part of the brain. I never could see why anyone would want any more than one shot! Must be my
wiring and circuitry.
And while I am on that topic. Geez, does anybody remember (the cheap) Boone's Farm Strawberry Wine in the 70's?
Will be 47 next month, had one glass of
champagne at age 32 at an anniversary party, at
which time my face turned beat red from the alcohol. (15 yrs. ago) No desire to touch alcohol ever since.

T.J. Swan.?!!! now that was some good stuff!! it would settle a person down much better than vallium or the other load levelers that they give to people that are about to freak out from the stress of living in todays world. Sure do wish they still made it, I ain't much for drinkin wine but I thought it was pretty good medicin, cource that was a few years ago and the old brain ain't what it used to be but you made me recall some old memories. thanks for your post Joe

6oz. PBR's, Blue Devils, Witches Brew, what were we thinking? Stories abound here, believe me.
Guess we had to live in those times, to be better
today. I thank God, there were D.A.R.E. programs for my kids in high school!
