Farmers, lawyers, teachers and preachers, we better all come together right now. Some are just after money and some are shooting our kids. If that doesn't concern you, I just don't undrstand people like you.
I see in Chicago that they are going after the big corporations for reparations for slavery, regardless that none of the people in the corp were born at the time. They don't care that they can destroy the economy of the whole country.
I see that they are demonstrating in DC to keep Bush from going after the ones who help the terrorists. Most of us are afraid to speak our mind because it is politically incorrect. Good God Y'all. When are we going to stand together????
To H3ll with your crops. To H3ll with my personal wants. SOME FOOLS ARE OUT OF HAND AND WE NEED TO SPEAK UP. When they shoot kids, I volunteer for whatever I can do at my age. I want their a$$, NOT CAUGHT...DEAD.

I'm gonna break my own rule of not arguing religion or politics.
The song of the 60's sure sounds good, I wonder who was trying to love one another when the planes went down on 911? I wonder who will be trying to love one another if Saddam gets a big one aimed at us?
I listened to the Love one another crowd back in 72 while they were spitting and bad mouthing me for coming home! It ain't that great a song, plus most of the love and peace crowd are now running our country!??????
In one post I read the h@ll with your crops, and in another I read the hunger is a problem that is not man made????????????
Wanna know what reality is? stand toe to toe with someone that wants to shoot you real bad, and have only a little foliage for cover, give that a try and then come back and tell me a little more of this story.
Yep my e-mail address is here, and my address is in the emergency list, If I can help stop another 9-11 then please call.
Every year for Memorial day, I help the local VFW mark graves of VETS with flags, Not for me, but for my Dad, he's 82 now and having a little harder time each year getting the job done. But when that time comes, it's a sad one, and yet at each grave I have to say a word of thanks. They gave what it took to preserve my way of life.
Thats it, I've had my say, and I will try to never again post on this subject, sorry for the soapbox stand but it sure will help me sleep better.
9-11 was no less than Pearl Harbor, and I ain't ready to give up the battle just cause it don't sound P/C
Thanx for listening, time for me to leave you all to your battle, I've fought mine before.
Ron

Mike D. - Thank You Ron    Posted 10-08-2002 at 20:40:56       [Reply]  [No Email]
A lot of people don't understand what it has meant to keep our land free. We are free at a great cost. People who don't understand what sacrifice is will never understand what it takes to be vigilant about freedom. Freedom will ring as long as there are those willing to sacrifice for others. The good of the whole has been paid for by the loss of the young. History repeats this over and over. It is hard for those of us who have lost our loved ones, friends and peers.
But it has not been in vain, nor will it ever be.
We need vigilance now as ever before.

How do those who have lived without sacrifice understand freedom? Do they think it is going to be there for their children if they don't do anything to make that happen. Freedom isn't like the sun that forever rises in the east and sets in the west. It can fail if it isn't guarded.

What would Europes history be today if someone had stood up to Hitler as he was amassing arms and rounding up Jews?

Sally--hate to tell you, but......    Posted 10-08-2002 at 06:11:21       [Reply]  [Send Email]
The only crises in this world (besides hunger and over-population) are the ones that have been manufactured. It's about money and power, folks. You and I have none. Now learn to live with that.

OK I been keeping my big mouth shut on this topic, but I guess I'm ready to tick some people off. Personally I'm against going to war with Iraq. I have no doubt that Saddam Hussein needs to be taken out, or overthrown. But my complaint about going to war, is merely that we should've finished the job the first time we were there instead of having to go back now and lose more American lives in the process. I think it's been a travesty ever since Korea, that our politicians start something and then pull out before the job is finsished as we did in Korea, and Viet Nam. We are the greatest and Most powerful country in the world, and I have no doubt we can kick anybodies butt, but we need to do the job right.

good answer Joe.

Anybody that believes a war with Iraq has one thing to do with national defense would be a prime candidate to get into the straight jacket testing

slim    Posted 10-08-2002 at 07:25:47       [Reply]  [No Email]
I understand what you are saying and agree to a point. But not finishing the job the first time is not a reason not finishing it now. Kind of like saying my cows are going to get out cause I didn't put the gap up yesterday but I'm not going to put it up today because I should have done it yesterday.

Please don't get me wrong on this, I'm not trying to start anything either. Don't know if I want to go to war either. Losing sons and daughters to war is never good. Losing them to terrorists here isn't good either.

I just hope and pray that whatever we do, we do the right thing for the right reasons.

Burn my soapbox now.

Don't let Les rattle ye.

He's a jar head reserve lifer so he can relate to a no testicle draft dodging president declaring war.

War is a heck of a lot different when yer in it than it appears to be on CNN.
