Thanks ger! Your followup got me to thinking, perhaps my statement sunday was a little bold. Yes I was speaking for myself, I am selfish and self centred. Your right about the fertile valley bottoms being limited, so when I do sell I assure you it will be all in one block. The realters have suggested it be sold in seperate blocks. Actually I loved it here at one time. I have roots and family here. The wheels of progress cannot be stopped. every fertile valley you talk about has a paved highway through it. The traffic is nonstop the chiptrucks are nonstop. I can't take much more of it. I realize there is no utopia on earth, I have to go to an area that is more depressed, more severe climate, and less fertile. Mabey if I ever find my privacy I can be happy. I don't know if I'm a yuppie or not, I have no high school diploma, I'm not a professional anything. But I worked all my life and paid my dues. I own this property here, this is a free country, and I have the right to sell it.

i never said you didn,t have the right to do what you want with your property , i too am going through the same things that you are here an have been looking around for a place elsewhere but i haven,t been able to find anything, an at my age im not so sure i could start over again, when you speak of the chip trucks i think i know where your at , an i know that you have already experienced things that we are just starting to get here , my involvenment with the RDEK keeps me informed of things in our area.i know its tough i told my wife if i didn,t have horses an love this way of life i would buy a condo on the lake down around penticton an take it easy the rest of my life, instead of doing what we,re doing , ive just decided that i,ll will fight to protect what i can of my little valleyan i know i won,t stop it but maybe i can slow it down a bit, where your at it,s probably already to late, an another thing i advocate around here is that the people who have lived an worked the land all there lives are the ones who should benifit from the lands sales not the realtors or the developers, so if you,ve had all you can take, you have to do what you have to do and hey maybe if you find that place you can drop me a line and let me know where it,s at , by then i,ll probably have had enough too, good luck an i didn,t mean any offense to you , bye for now ger
