Unidentified elderly Snowblower

JoeK..Snowblower help needed    Posted 10-12-2002 at 13:31:42       [Reply]  [No Email]
Broke a piece on control of my old SB,Piece is unique and unit inoperable w/o it.I have been trying to find mfg for over a year,If anyone has an idea, lemme know.Unit dates back to when "generic" stuff started showing up,is labelled "The Snowthrower".Maybe there was a "The Lawnmower" or "The Rototiller" also????????I have posted this on several small engine/mower forums w/o success YET.

Question:
I have an older 2-stage snowblower in good working shape, but have no idea who made it. All decals and markings appear to be present and readable. The handle "apron" decals simply say Self Propelled, 10 Speeds Forward, 4 Speeds Reverse and 7 HP - NO other wording. On top of blower housing it says "THE SNOWTHROWER". The serial no. sticker 726-0530 is on lower left rear.
The manual which came with machine is complete, but has NO manufacturer info or copywrite info. It has numbered parts diagrams but no ordering info. The manual says the unit is a Model 8000. Unit was either red or orange with black /white trim when new; it's now a rather pink color. The engine is an electric start HM70 Tecumseh.
ANY HELP APPRECIATED.

I went ahead and did a DNA on the snow blower fer ye.

I think I got it linked into the Nicole Simpson murder scene. When Barry Scheck gets back I'll know fer sho.

It must be. I was in Hollywood once in the middle of Jan back before all the global warming and it was down right hot.

Now Burr don't you be getting mad when other people get more snow than you folks do, down there in Texas.:<)
