Standing between my sister and her husband is one of my sister's good friends, Miss Patti Page. She has a place here in NH and is a gracious, wonderful lady.
Remember "How much is that doggie in the window"?

And the nicest part is that everyone seems to be having fun without having a wine glass in their hand. That's what we see in the local paper here all the time, and white wine too. Now, a little Jack Daniels, well that might be excuseable.

Well since everyone knows my age anyway, I can say yes I do remember her and the song. Thanks for sharing.

Remember the old tv show "Hit Parade", I can still that doggie in the window while they sang the song.

We didn't get a tv until '62 and then only got one channel. What I mostly recall about that was Popeye cartoons on the Uncle Gus show, Ringading the Clown and Wide World of Sports. No Hit Parade.
I have met Patti Page several times and she is just as nice as you'd think she'd be. I believe she's still the #1 selling female recording artist of all time. Tennessee Waltz is her "signature" song and I bet she can't do a show without the crowd demanding that she sing it.
