WallSal55 - My 2 cents worth...    Posted 10-16-2002 at 07:55:03       [Reply]  [No Email]
Yes, will be 47, need the reading glasses. BP was too high at 40. Doc and I both agreed lifestyle changes were necessary--why die at 40?
So I do less each year--BP is manageable where I
need no medicine. Things are not so organized
around here (for which family has given me a lot of grief), but hey I'm alive, and feeling pretty
good now!
After a lot of soul-searching, decided that there
had to be more to this life. Found out it had to
be laughter and someone to love. For me, the
laughter and love seems to help balance the
aging. I go about life each day seeking out those
2 things, not letting them outta sight. Sometimes
we get so busy we forget how to laugh and love.

I love the age I am at, only problem I would like to be 62 to get my social security. Maybe I feel this way because we started retirement, moved to a beautiful state, finally can be a country gal and have critters and start the day looking at mountains, and trees and be able to breath good fresh air. I am very thankful that I am where I am at and it only took 60 years to get here. I am giving myself the childhood I never had and everyday I look at everything as a child on Christmas day. We may have our financial belts tightened the tightest ever but God has given me everything I need, maybe not what I want but He knows best.

I will take every ache, pain, bad eyesite, bones that play a melody, and everything else. Didn't mean to get so serious, bet you guys didn't think I had that in me.

Have a wonderful day!!!

Dear lady, of course you have it in you, If you didn't have the serious appreciation for what you have, and the love of what you have been given, then you would never have the great sense of humor that comes through every day, I think that you and that other list lady from Texas are probably a couple of treasures that would match the one that I have been given,
Now having said that,,,, STAY OFF MY BACK!!!!!!
hehehehehehehe,,,,,,Ron

not to make you mad but i had cataract surgery 6 weeks ago and I can throw my glasses away except for reading. Before I had enough glass on my face that it made me look at the floor all the time. Yes i do have all the aches and pains but some nmed does help. I noticed that at 35 you start aging and then progress every 5 years and at 60 you get bumped every year.

Oh, it gets worse as you get older, "boys", you just learn to live with it. Like my dad said, it's amazing what you can learn to put up with. But I don't know of but one alternative---plastic! :)

Good Morning, and I can appreciate your aging problem. I'll be 41 next month, and I've worn glasses since I was a teenager, Dentures since I was 20, Been deaf since age 28, got enough metal holding my bones together that I set off store alarms when I leave and wouldn't even think of trying to get on an airliner. Now the good thing about this is I had a lot of fun along the way getting in this shape LOL.

I turned 40 last December. Since then I have gotten reading glasses, cholesterol medication, a cold that took me 3 months to get rid of and aches and pains that I NEVER had before 40.
I believe that age is backwards. We should start old and then get younger as we go. Finally one day you would just sorta disappear...
