If you haven't encountered age disrimination yet, be patient you will! There's discrimination all over but one of my pet peeves is the way cops treat old guys. It's just not a bit fair!

Lets say a young fella gets into mischief at the local pub, what happens? The cops come, get everybody's story, snap the cuffs on, declare that it's a court matter now & cart his butt off to jail for the weekend, right? Everbody has a chanvce to think it over, and chances are he'll be bailed out by his opponent the next noon.

Okay, same situation only now the guy's over 40. You know what? The poor devil is going to have to pay retail for a weekend of blessed recuperation in the slammer, that's what! If he's broke or beliggerent, the cops get everybody's story, shake their heads, declare that it's a domestic matter, give the poor soul a ride home & wake his missus up, that's what! Here he's about to die AND THEY'RE GONE AFTER A DONUT! What kinda justice is that? I say we all deserve a running start ....... :)

Well, us women worry about it, too. Stayed home
all these years. I would suggest to buy a box
of Nice N' Easy like I do--covers the gray, and
you can go a shade lighter than your own haircolor.
Folks tell me all the time I look too young for
the date printed on the driver's license.
Consider it. Heck, if it lands you some work.

Gettin' it now! I'm 45 and out of work for the first time in my life (longer than 2 weeks)and I never thought it would happen to me. They just don't want a fat old guy no matter what he has to offer. Got a shot at a part time job maybe leading to a full time position by the time I retire for good. I think its time to be self employed again.

I'm not happy to hear you fellers have trouble with it too, but it is comforting to know it's not just in my head

Maybe it is just in your head. Perhaps you just thought you read about it. ;o)

How the heck do you guys stay outa work....I can't stay home long enough to say I was here!!!! And it ain't because I'm any good, either!!! Dad gum it....I would dearly love to retire....boss says, " you just hang around, I'll keep ya busy"! Do you suppose it has something to do with wages? Should I be working for the minimum wage? Not under? I just don't know, it all seems so..so.. so unfair.....
