That stuff happens Sid. Several years ago we jumped in the truck to roll on a grass fire, on the way there the firetruck ran outta gas. The guage was broken and the other calls everyone had gotten into a hurry and forgot to refill the tank. Luckilywe were only dleayed a few seconds while we switched over to the other tank, but it coulda been rela embarrassing.

Fire fighters are a great bunch of people, not just because my son, a son-in law and a grandson are fire fighters but I have great respect for all of them.

me too.

We have a VFD that is second to none.

Our volunteers have a better arrival average than the staffed firehouse in town has.

Course everbody at the VFD knows every twist in the road and everbody by their real name, nick name or alias.

Them fellers have saved my barns twice and a house once. They saved our church numerous times til the water and electric lines all got rebuilt.
