We had just put the chickens up, and locked up the pole barn when the moon rose over the wood line. Beautiful. My favorite full mooon of the year.
We've been running through our fall checklist:
grass cut (hopefully for the last time)
gardens cleaned up and tilled
firewood stacked in close
snow blower brought down to the house
tiller and trimmer winterized and stored up in the pole barn
tractor with Stabil, full tank of gas, ready to go into the barn so we can pull the battery
250 gallons of gasoline in the storage tank
utility trailers parked and locked up (wheel bearings packed)
Only thing really to do is cleanup type burning of a few spots.
We heat with geothermal water heat along with radiant floor heating, it's reay to go too.
Here's hoping for a mild winter !!!
