It is past time for this sociopath that stalks the D.C. suburbs to catch his last breath.

Agreed, I only hope it happens today before anybody else dies.

Interestingly, one candidate for Maryland Governor is using this situation as a platform to shrilly call for more gun control...and it sounds to me like a lot of folks are agreeing.

I guess I don't get it--I draw the exact opposite lesson: if this clown had to worry about a lot of armed citizens, I suspect he'd be a lot less likely to play his little game.

anyway, I just hope he sees one coming his way this time.

I lived in Falls Church VA for 20 years (five miles from DC) and worked in Greenbelt MD (two miles from DC) It is kind of ironic how so many liberals in Maryland who were so dead set against the death penalty are now suddenly in favor of it.
The cops puzzle me, they keep everything so hush hush. As they said last night on TV, when the authorities finally published the Unibomber's letters, his brother recognized his style of writing and turned him in. A few years back, the cops in Prince George's County Maryland were after a serial rapist who was striking every few weeks for over a year. When they finally let word out about the guy, there was a huge outcry because (1) he wwould have been recognized earlier and turned in and (2) several women were raped and robbed who may have been able to protect themselves if they knew the guys Modus operandi. The Montgomery county police are a fine group over all, but, who appointed Chief Moose as the spokeperson for the task force? Lastly, there is a lot of sense that some of this information is being played out for the advantage of the Maryland Democratic gubernatorial candidate who is ardently anti gun and is whipping up the anti-gun fervor with Chief Moose's aid. Not that they are behind it, just making the most hay out of it. In the mean time lives are lost. The sniper makes these guys look like Keystone cops and the media hangs on every word like it's the second coming. I think its time for a new attitude.
The feds ought to be in charge and they ought to be controlling this.
I have to go down that way today and sure don't need to be caught in one of those traffic jams.

FWIW these murders sound as if made-to-order for some ...other agenda. I wonder if there's some way to view all the issues that hang in the balance on ballots in DC and Surrounding, via the Net. Might be an issue itself; some initiative or referendum. Might be a candidate whose success would threaten somebody's pet agenda.

If that honks-off anyone here, it was not my intent *gratuitously* to do so. But the various authorities (whose derelictions-of-duty re: Columbine HS have become obvious) would fill a small bus. And those murders their knowing silence made possible saved an agenda quite possibly near & dear to each of them. It's more likely a coincidence that a "conspiracy©," but it *did* happen.

Although I *of-course* do not advocate illegal acts, I have to wonder how it would play if the DC-sniper couldn't enter a wooded area without encountering a hangman's-noose dangling from a tree there. RKBA! Regards, all.

I said it the other day, but I still hope his justice comes quickly from a bullet and not our sloth like justice system.

I don't want to get started on this one Mike, not here on the board.
Later Bob

You are probably right Bob, I just needed to vent some. Strong feelings about it here in NoVA.

Not that I don't have lots to say about it Mike, but it's the thing for saying face to face.
Later Bob
