Sniper notes

Did I miss something, the 1 note was the Tarot card- simple message, but the second (letter) the supposed sniper had to call the police the next day to tell them to look for the letter posted to a tree, an area that the police thourghly searched, this makes me believe that someone other than the real sniper left the note and is now commucating with the police for their own advantage $. Any ideas on that or did I miss something

Tom A -- hopefully, maybe, they got them    Posted 10-24-2002 at 03:31:30       [Reply]  [No Email]
Just hearing reports that they arrested 2 guys at 3:20 this morning at an overlook that I pass every day on the way to work. Sounds like they were armed, and have connections to the Tacoma Washington house the FBI searched last night, as well as to a similar unsolved shooting of a lady a month ago in Montgomery Alabama. Guess they were Montgomery, though, they left a fingerprint.

Let's hope it is these two clowns. Unfortunately, they were caught here in Maryland, so if it is them my taxes will be feeding them for the rest of my life. But I guess that's a small price to pay to get them off the street.

Too bad they didn't fill those maggots full of bullet holes and sort the whole thing out later. "Arrested without incident" means millions of dollars to be paid out is in the future of the taxpayers of Maryland.

Tom A -- yep. Looking more like it is them, too    Posted 10-24-2002 at 04:23:55       [Reply]  [No Email]
Maryland has the death penalty, but our ultra-liberal Governor has stopped executions here. And unfortunately his lap-dog deputy governor is probably going to win the upcoming election and she won't do anything either--except maybe try to sue the gun manufacturer for all these killings.

Well, maybe they'll get off on some technicality, and then the relatives can take care of 'em.

Mike D. frustrated here in Arlington, Va.    Posted 10-24-2002 at 06:20:44       [Reply]  [No Email]
O.K. I got friends that have children afraid to leave their folks side. I see people walking to the Metro train in zig zag, People ducking
behind gas pumps. Playgrounds and football fields empty. I could go on. Life here has had a war zone impact placed upon it.
Now we get to see a media frenzy feed upon the aspects of this sub-specie's life, motives, habits, and so on. It makes me sick.
Those poor families that lost a loved one to this devil will be dragged through more trauma and for what? I sure wish that an over-the-road driver would have spotted the pair and made them grillework on a Peterbilt. Sort it out later.
But then I look for simple measures to problems, that could be why I'm a carpenter and not a politician.
Here in Virginia we'd ice the shooter. Maybe if he would have chosen the rest stop on I 95 in the Dale City area some good old boy would have spotted the two and the outcome may have been differant, who knows? If our State Police would have caught them, then the death penalty would not have been open for debate as it is in Maryland.
Unlike the shooter, who has no backbone, it takes backbone to handle such deviant social behavior. Backbone is what built the country, the lack of it will tear it down. Sad that Maryland will get the trial. Sad for the families, and pitiful for us to have to hear the dribble that comes from the press.

Hi Mike D:

I hear ya. The place where these two clowns were caught is a couple miles up the road from me, and happens to be very near my wife's school bus route. There is an elementary school nearby, as well as a cross-roads with an Exxon and a couple of eating establishments...sound familiar?

So I have mixed feelings. They might have been lying low preparing to hit the school or another gas station, then walked back to their car thru the backcountry. If that's the case, I doubt they'd have made it--this is true, honest-to-God redneck country, most folks have guns, and the 3 S's are part of the gospel. So I doubt they'd have made it back to their car. On the other hand, somebody else would have had to be another innocent victim again to raise the red flag they were in the AO. So while I wish they'd have been caught fleeing and plugged but good, the really important thing is they've been caught.

my two cents,

I agree with Tom, this is one sick MF. God bless all that are living through this hell.

all I figgered out so far is that they caught 2 illegals that tried to use the payphone to call home.

Them fellers must not be on the AT&T Friends and Family Plan.

I bet them folks that drive white vans are scared to drive 'em.

Funny that they were caught in a 1990 Caprice after all the hype about a white van.

CNN has it on their site that they had a description of the Caprice since 10/3...funny we never heard about that...

The guy's insane, don't try to make any sense of it because he doesn't have any.

My take was
1:Tarot Card
2;Ponderosa RestaurantWoods,requesting "contact"$$
3;Nailed to tree, found after bus driver shot, threatens kids

Thats the way I got it.

And the guy tried calling the tip line several times but the idiots manning the phones thought it was a crackpot and hung up on him.
Just heard on Nightline that they have a line on who it may be. They are looking for a guy named John Allen Williams aka John Allen Mohammed and his 17 year old "companion", a guy named Malvo. I saw the picture of Williams/Mohammed and he looks like a very angry Afro guy. He's supposed to be a Desert Storm veteran and the feds think they may be connected to a double murder in Montgomery, Alabama that was the same M.O. as these in Virginia.
