Rat bait ??

I've heard that rats and mice that have died after eating rat bait don't have enough of the poison in their bodies to affect a dog or cat that might happen to eat one them. I'm wondering whether a chook that might have eaten a poisoned mouse would have the same tolerance levels...I suspect that they don't. I'm hoping that there is someone here who knows.

So what is a chook?

Ooops, sorry about that...it's a chicken...chook is an Australian name for them. I had intended to write chicken and forgot to. The word chook was talked about here quite a while back but I wasn't going to use it today for the benefit of people who missed the thread or have since arrived.

I do not think it would be a problem with even a chicken. I have seen chickens eat deaad mice around outbuildins that had poisons set out and have not seen any ill effects.
