Well it seems to be another cold, very cold. rainy day here. No problem though it is a great day to get some inside stuff done, ifn I even feel like it. I just might declare today a holiday and do nothing except feed the critters and bug Dennis all day.

I just hope it stops raining soon and the sun comes out we want to take a drive through the mountains and see the beautiful leaves but in this weather we are better off staying put.

Have a rainbow day everybody and do something nice just for you!!

Mornin' all...or maybe it's afternoon there now. Hope you all have had a nice easy day. Following a couple of very busy days here we declared our Sunday as a holiday and did what we felt like...which wasn't a whole lot. But as someone once said, "Things don't get done just by looking at them." and as it's Monday morning here and I've got lots to do I guess my little holiday is over.
Hope to get some time to visit here more this week...I'll be keeping an eye on you all.
Have a good day.

EI this is tha first decent color fall in tha last three Years. Maw and I just keep sayin over'n over "ain't it wonderful livin in all this beauty?". Maws had tha epizudik tha past coupla weeks but last night thought mabe We could go ta church this mornin without givin it to tha whole congregation. Missed tha last two Sundays. We got a small Church with a dinky congregation so iffen one persons missin it's noticed. Preacher accepts no pay and and puts at least as much in tha plate as tha rest of Us. Enough ta pay Our bills'n lay a buck'er two away in tha buildin fund.

Country life is a good thing, I thank tha good Lord for inventen it......

Morning Hogman and Mz Hogman. Sorry to hear you wife hasn't been feeling well. Sure hope she continues to get better. I love the changing of the seasons. I missed it during my 25 year visit to Texas. I don't even mind the cold as long as I dont have to plow any fields.

Sounds like your country church is just what church is all about. I won't mention what religion I am recovering from but boy if you didn't put your money in the offering plate everybody knew about it.

One thing you guys never warned me about was the slippery mud roads. I went to get the paper today and it was like driving on ice, but I go slow not only because of that but you never know where a deer is lurking. Saw a few of them today on my way to the store.

Life is so good and I am so glad that God put me right where I am to enjoy all that He has to offer. He sure does paint pretty here in the country.

Mornin EI. S'posed to rain here in the New Orleans area for the next day or so. Cool but not cold. All our leaves are still green as the day they was born. Mowed the lawn yestiddy. Thinking about making a big pot of chicken and andouille sausage gumbo today. Ya'll drop by.

I am on my way. I just made gumbo Wednesday used shrimp and some of our spiced pork sausage. I know that Cajun sausage though and that is GOOD eating. Very, very hot but it was great. Nothing like a big old bowl of steaming gumbo on a cold wet evening.
