My missus can't quite keep track of her keys, (Hope her mind isn't next) it is a long standin joke around here that she can't ever find her keys. We've found em in the fridge, in the barn, on the kitchen counter, in the kitchen cabinet, in the couch cushions, in the freezer, under the computer desk, in the ignition, in the pocket of the jacket she wore last week, and even a few times in the key pocket of her purse. We have a rule around here. If anyone sees her keys, they get hung on the hook by the door. This only works about fifty percent of the time. We also keep about four sets of extra keys and as a last resort, hide-a-keys in each car and one in the barn for the house. Once had a vicious dog which only family members could approach, used to keep the extra house key hangin in his dog house.

Ya sound pretty normal to me. I have baskets to
hold sunglasses, etc., to find them quick, but they get overflowing in time. Seems like a constant battle. I end up cleaning out junk
drawyers and counters--trying to pitch stuff--but find it hard to do. What I cannot pitch,
I put in a clear shopping bag and hang on a hook
in the basement stairwell. Then I can start
finding my stuff again. (for at least the next
day or two--ha ha!)

We have various ghosts to blame it on. Nothing nasty understand, just inconvenient. And IF I remember to stamp my foot and say, "Put that back! it suddenly appears again. If whatever it is stays missing I say "now, June, where in heaven's name did you put that." and I will remember it.

Now I can just blame it on you since after all....now where did I put that keyboard so I could finish that sentence?

Must be something in the air, I forgot I put eggs in my pocket proceeded to smash everyone of them when I came in the house and sat down, still can't find my one pair of furry slippers, my teeth thank goodness stay in my head, my glasses are forever walking away from me. Still can't find the bowl full of dog food I had ready in the barn, the checkbook I think ran away with the scissors I was using to cut long strings to attach everything to my bod. I just blame it all on the ghost that lives in our house.

the dogfood and checkbook are both in the fridge -
don't ask why - i don't anymore - everything's in there. I just get my car-key off the clothesline & hike down to the church for a good stiff drink. :)
