Noticed that, but for some idiot reason Sears seems to think that the day we celebrate and honor our Veterans is a really great sale day! Now that's just stupid. You can't find a card but Sears will put a sweater on sale for it. Yep, there's something wrong out there.

It's probably because Artists rarely go to war and Soldiers rarely share what they feel about the war. Here is something for you to do when the wind is trying to fill SD or CO with drifts of WY snow. There are many images out there on the web and willing kids who like to cartoon (they are found in HS or college art departments or ask the principle about who is doing the most creative doodling.) A little cross generational communicating won't hurt. Get creative and have fun filling a need.

Don't know, I see lots wrong with the way we honor vets. Veterans day has become nothing more than another sale day at the mall, generally nobody but us'ns even give it a second thought.

But I've linked below one of my favorite sites on the internet. I found it when I was looking for the words to the old poem about "God and the soldier we adore, in times of danger not before..."

If navigating around this site doesn't bring tears to a vet's eyes, I don't know what will. This lady tied a lot of good stuff together. Course she's a vet's wife, and I always said that the hardest job in the Army was being an Army wife.

Happy vets day, guys!

Never thought of it as a day to 'celebrate' but a day to shake someones hand and say thanks...put some flowers on a grave and reflect...

Kinda glad that it is not a 'commercial' holiday like the other ones that used to be days of reflection and Christmas and Thanksgiving...

'Celebrate' birthdays...
