Taddie,
You don't say if you want to farm full time or as a hobby. If you want to go full time it will take alot of capital and hard work.
If you want to do it as a hobby, you have to decide what you are going to farm. If you want to raise animals, what animals? Is there a market for them, and more importantly will you be able to sell them when it's time?
If you want to raise crops make sure you have an outlet for them, and the equipment to plant and harvest or someone to contract the work you can't do.
It's a full time job just thinking about it(grin)
Think about what you want to do with this farm and ask away,,
Good luck and welcome to you and your family.
Ron
