Well, with winter pokin'its head around the corner and after fireing the stove up for the winter I was just wonering if anyone else out there uses pellet stoves to heat the homestead? We have been heating with pellets for 4 yrs now and just love it. Don't have to be tied down next to the stove babysiting it,just add pellets once a day and forget about it! let me know what ya think!!

We have had pellet stoves for years now and wouldn't be without one. Looked at a lot of them but the Whitfield seems to be the best. Had friends and relatives try other brands but they never had as positive results as we have. Carrying 40# bags is a lot better than cutting and stacking cord wood for my money!!

We burn wood (and lots of it- a trashcanful of ashes already this year) but have been peeking at corn stoves lately. If and when i find a cheap corn boiler - or rig a feeder to my firepot. :)
