Will never get cable here and refuse to paid the fees for satelite, so dialup..
Here's a great site to compare dialup providers.

I get my service by landline (phone). Last I checked I could get starband off my dish but I would still need a landline server for outgoing info. If your phone lines are really slow or you really needed the speed it might be worth it. I am just not in that big of a hurry or do I want to spend that much more than I am spending now. The service I have does real good for me.

Toni (EIEIO) Uses directway two way satelite sytem. Very expensive but fast. The equipment cost, with installation, $600.00. The monthy charge is over $50.00.

I use the local telephone company internet service for $19.95 Month unlimited access.

I experience 3to5 min page downloads sometimes and
the rest of the time it is real slow also. Large pictures are out of the question. Surfing is slow.

I had Directway one-way service but that was almost asexpensive as two-way and I don't make the money Toni does on the net, so it had to go.

If possible, get cable, as that is the fastest we have ever had, but that was in a city, it's not available here.
