MY New England Perspective...    Posted 11-22-2002 at 17:43:46       [Reply]  [No Email]
From a 'Bedroom Community' on the Left Coast of New England that is...Down Easters probably have a different perspective...

I want to do this point by point if I may...

DISCLAIMER:

"The Opinions Below Are The Sole Property Of The Author, And May Not In Part Or Entirety Be Duplicated, In Print Or Electronically Without Express Written Consent"

But then, Good Luck since the author is obviousley illiterate and quite off his rocker...

#1: Can't argue here...Can add a few 'Real Rigs' to the list; ie. Any Jeep CJ, FullSize Bronco, GMC Jimmy, Or K5 Blazer...'Newbies' will never be seen in one of these...

#2:Can't agree here...Well...Sorta...Shorts and Birkenstocks kinda Peeve me too...But...Shorts and barefoot, even in Woolworths gets ya points as a local here...'Tenderfoot' was a name that we tried to lose early and still loath as one of the worst early 'Swears' we were subjected too...If you put shoes on in the summer, you better be goin' to Church, A Wedding, Or a Funeral...Or on the off chance...A Job Interview...

#3: Um...I don't understand the term 'Lowfat', so I will skip this one...

#4: Sorry...I feel about Hats the Same as I do about Footware...An Evil necessity, and only to be worn at appropriate times, or out of respect, and when Mother Nature is trying to kill you, which is about 6 months a year here...

#5: Well...I am nowhere near Texas, but I can not agree more with the avoidation of the 'Georgia Okeef' motif in anyones home...

#6: Heck...We love it when the 'Flatlanders' come and fence off their 12 acres with stuff that keeps the Deer away from their Hydrangea's...Causes them to congregate on our land instead...

#7: Who can argue with 'Be A Good Neighbor'...Geeze...

#8: Well...Duh...

#9: This drives my Farmgirl Wife crazy...I wave at everyone...Just try and NOT wave at the good lookin ones...At least when the Wife is in your rig...Trust me here...

#10: Toilet paper is for Flatlanders...And I have the Poison Ivy scars on my butt to prove it...

;-)
