Pygmy Goat Problem?
[Return to Topics]

Hello all,
Our pygmy goat has a funny sound comming out of him whenever he Bahaas and sometimes when he doesn't. It sounds like a low grunt but not a wheeze. Like a quiet party favor blower. He doesn't do it all the time but pretty regular. He eats find, runs the same and doesn't have a runny nose or eyes and he is alert. It's just a new funny sound and we want to make sure it isn't serious. Hi bowel movement doesn't have any mucas in it. We wormed him (Pill) last week.
Any Ideas. Thank you

Okay wise mentors, I surmise that this is what we have to do, Dennis has to stick his nose where?, I have to eat what, DeadCrap, I mean Carp?, and ger is coming to take pictures, hmmmmmmmmmm. I think I will stick with Jim in Michigan post and just figure that Samson has a new sound! Also Ron/PA loved the pun, it was right on target!!

Does it sound like someone making a "raspberry" or like a kind of weird sneeze? If so its normal,, my Pygmies do that..its just a thing they do,,,Jim

Dennis, I don't know what the problem is but if it were me, I would run 7 to 10 days of terramycin water soluable. It is a basic respiratory treatment, and if there is no problem, it won't hurt a bit.
Good luck
Ron

Wellsir, do the goat's pellets still taste like M&Ms? Let me know - menfolks aren't too subtle about flavors, you might let EI --

I love my critters but I don't love them that much plus I think Samson just found out she can make that noise, last week she found out she can tilt her head way back and did that for about a week straight. I think she is okay she is doing her dance of joy. But no I will not taste her mm's

lift his tail and put your ear up close and listen . if you don't hear any thing try putting your nose up close and sniff for gas . could be he is poluting the atmisphere and is endangering the world . if so immediately report it to the EPA and al gore .

he,s getting older an maturing an his voice is changing, if you belive that you,ll belive anything i tell you lol , sorry dennis don,t know a thing about goats, maybe he had lots of worms they say they will weaken an animal and after killing them off he may have to get his strenght built back up, i dont know one thing i learned with animals is if you give them a few days an watch them they usually recouver pretty well on their own its usually the owners that have the hard time worring about them especially if you only have a few an they become your pets , good luck . later ger
