Was flippin' channels last night and ran across it on the tube. Must have just hit me right, cuz I felt like a kid again watching it. I don't think I'd seen it in decades, and it was new all over, except for a bunch of modern actors who I'd never heard of commenting on it.

What a nice fun, family flick.

yea, great movie. I remember really looking forward to it once a year. It kinda reminds me of the book, The Hobbit. It's a great place to escape to for a little while.

You ever read any of the L. Frank Baum Oz books? He wrote a whole mess of 'em, I read a couple during breaks while I was in college. Pretty good reading.

I read the whole set when I was a kid and I still have them. Baum wrote eleven book in the series, then the next 6 are written by Ruth Plumly Thompson and then the last one is by Jack Snow. Funny though, my kids weren't as crazy about them as I was. Kids are diffenent these days.

I gotta plead ignorance on this one, as I didn't know it was a series.

Guess I'll have to look for them now so I can catch up on childhood I missed!
