I know it's not a very fancy subject but i get those polyps i think they're called - around my neck etc. Well, i had some removed by a doctor once and since then my cousin does it. He just dabs a little liquid nitrogen on with a cotton swab - then sprays a little numzit on them (or they feel like bee stings) the things freeze and dry up. Same thing the doctor does. :)

but one point to remember, a surface abnormality may actualy go very deep so You are taking a chance in some cases. Course, I think some of Us can judge about as well as some Graduate, certified, pedigreed shingle hangers.IMHO
Still, always use caution. Skin type cancer can and does put a lot of People under tha grass every year!

Kathy, this is a no brainer. Go see a qualified doctor and find out what it is.

Could be one of many things, from a "skin bump",encapsulated sliver or other irritant, bug bite, plugged sweat gland or ingrown hair or maybe though unlikely sumpin nasty. My rule of thumb beyond just keepin an eye on "things" is:If it bothers or worries you see the Dr for advice. The body will try to expel anything foreign and failing this will try to isolate and encapsulate it,making various lumps, bumps, cysts, blisters etc. Some stay, some go away, some need help moving.

Hogman*******Kathy I may be a little gun'shy but    Posted 11-26-2002 at 03:08:43       [Reply]  [No Email]
I'd sure spend tha price of an office call. Last Wed I had a Melanoma removed from My cheek which had been removed (tha melanoma not tha cheek) last year and grew back because tha Doc didn't get it all. This time I used a dermitoligest type with mabe a better weed whacker setup. I've had around 30 skin cancers removed and have been a firm believer in check it quick and kill it fast!

Maw Hog had a lump come up on Her arm last Summer, actualy about tha same time My lung cancer became a medical wonder by just dissapearin. She thought it was just a bad blackhead or mabe a syst, not to worry. It grew, got sorta firm same time Her shoulder started hurting. The 5th I took Her to Our Dr, He looked at it and made appointment with tha Dermitoligest, the 11 the syst(?) was removed and the 14th the Dr called to say one sample is going to Mayo clinic to be checked and this is such a rare cancer that She has only seen it once.

Bad part is,what was taken out is not THE cancer. 15th was X-rays,21st blood work,22nd was CT scan from top of head thru pubic area ,yesterday was full body bone scan and today We see tha one Dr that specializes in this type cancer. What We have been told is It's so rare few Dr's no anything at all about it let alone ever envolved in a case.

Now comes tha sad,bad part,She told Me to not tell anyone because She didnot want People praying for Her. Afterwards She quizzed Me on "If Ya pray for somthing and You get it can You ask God to take it back?" My answer was "just be careful what ya ask for" not knowin what She was up to. She prayed that My cancer would be moved to Her because She could not live without Me but felt I am strong enough to live without Her. Now unfortunatly tha arm lump came up on Her and My cancer went away.
She believes Her prayers were answered. I canot belive that a loving God would inflict such on a person who would make this kind of sacrifice and Your right, Im setin here bawlin just writin about it.

I'm sorry, didn't mean to get off on this.
Kathy , go to tha doc...please.

Beautiful Hogman, You and the Mrs. have a Special
Love and you're able to express it to each other!
Yes, a doctor checkup is needed. My daughter
has moles that grow and change on her head.
My cousin had sebaceous cysts that grew and grew
larger and larger, later to all be removed--he
had about 5 the size of a quarter on his head!
