Mission accomplished. Got the four posts in and the concrete floor mixed and poured for the smokehouse. So far only got 18 dollars in it. Gotta go pick up some free tin this weekend.

Took two cows to the sale Thursday before Thanksgiving, one borned a dead calf that had to be pulled. She never bred back for 90 days now. The other missed several cycles but finally bred, but she don't have much of a bag and do't produce good quality calves. I sort of gave them away getting only 36 and 38 cents per pound.

But I did get enough to get a 9 year old registered Black Angus with a 6 week old heifer calf from the a local Angus breeder. Gonna raise the heifer to breed, probable keep the cow for another 4 to 5 years.

Good going Gary! I would like to see a pic of your smoke house, inside and out, if you wouldn't mind sharing.

Sure, probably shortly after Christmas or New Year I'll be butchering some hogs and making sausage. I'll post them later.
