Winter House for the Chickens!!

This is Shelby's Chicken House. Keeps them warm in the winter and from Herc eating them! Neibors call it the Yuppie Chicken House, but I got it for free and it works! Mark H.

That photo sure makes me glad I live only 45 minutes from the gulf of Mexico...Even growing up in Oregon we lived in the Willamette Valley and only saw a bit of snow mabye 2 times a winter....good luck...

Glad to live up here when I here of those Gulf Storms or Tornados bussing thru town. We have a bad Fire Season but at least we can fight back to save the place or just prepare the place so you don't get burned out. I like the snow during the winter!! If I did not it would be depressing to live here in the winter. Just looked out the window and we are getting some right now. Mark H.

Oregon gets it's fair share of bad storms...ice storms...earthquakes...the one in 1980 was in my town...luckily I was in Texas...an earthquake just cracked my Mother's foundation in Chehalis, WA a year or 2 ago....

Where bout's did you live in the valley?
I live in Brooks at the Powerland farm museum as a caretaker.I can see MT.Hood and I-5 from my kitchen window.wouldn't trade this part of Oregon for any place in the world.Haven't needed a snow shovel or winter treads for 15 years Now!!

North end...in Clackamas....Fished for smallmouth by the Locks at Willamette Falls...and Salmon on the Clackamas. And in Colton, Between Mollala and Estacada. Still have family in Oregon City, Gladstone, and Milwaukie.

Don't live in the valley I live in Eastern Washington at the 2,800 ft level outside of Okanogan about 50 miles from Canada. Love the snow it is the seasons that make life interesting. They also pre/pare you for summer! Mark H. PS The DOGS LOVE IT!!

I have lived in Wilbur, WA...Born in Spokane, WA...lived in Portland, Colton, Clackmas,OR....and Blackfoot, ID...Butte, MT...and Brownsville, San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, Austin, Dale, Texas...and now settled on 25 acres in East Texas in the Piney Woods...Got 2 Huge lakes within 30 min. and a quarter acre in the country club at Sam Rayburn....I would only live in Oregon or Texas. I just got back down here in Nov....My 25 acres with everything was only 125K...and it's beautiful...and I go to Oregon any time I feel like it. Lynch

finally got up for the day to a beautiful, sunny ,
blue sky. morning. 43 degrees and the forcast calls for a high of 55 degrees.supposed to be like this until the middle of next week.

My border collie loves it where ever my chickens are...Texas or Oregon
