Yes I do check the posts to see what is going on and I found yours. First though a questions where is Balute Buis?

I checked for wry neck and you were right. That is exactly what it is. Description of ducks with this condition describes poor Hutch to a tee. Some said to try massaging his neck which I did try when he was in the brooder in the house but it didn't work. He is holding his own in the barn brooder and pen, his only problem really is sleeping, it seems he is most content when he can put his head on another duck. He should be fine as long as he always has somebody nearby to sleep with. He is bigger than one of his brothers so he is eating well.
Thanks for your post at least I know what it is. Appreciate it.

Dennis read my post and wanted to know if I was trying to be a smart aleck, he said that he thinks Balute Bius is a duck not a place. I am sorry I wasn't trying to be a smart aleck, I just thought it was a place. You must remember I am still a partial greenhorn.

Never entered my mind to explain what a balute is! didn't see anything even slightly smart alecky in your question. Bless your soul! Every one is a green horn in some area or the other. I ain't no expert on nothing any how. A balute is a duck egg that is held in an incubator for around 18 days, more or less, then sold to be boiled and eaten as a partially developed baby duck. Gross, I know. This was a really good way for us to add to our farm income for a long time, but it played out as the older Vietnamese immigrants Americanized and thier children preferred Big Macs and French Fries. You can still make some money doing this if you have a sizable Vietnamese/Phillipine communtity in your vacinity. But the days of high sales and a large return on your investment are long gone. By all means, never hesitate to ask me any question that is on your mind that you may think I could help with. Glad to answer any question from any one that don't mind a plain answer. Your duck will most likely be just fine, just look kind of funny, as long it doesn't get crowded out at the feed trough.
