Starting Monday I may have to find alternate means of getting from point A to point B. No subway or bus service. I was thinking of renting a horse, but I don't know of any "stable" rent-a-horse outfits around these parts. Since our "beloved" mayor might enforce car-pooling to cut down traffic jams, might he also make horseback riders like myself pick up extra riders to avoid horse congestion on the streets of Manhattan? Besides, where would I find any hitching posts to tie up the old nag?

since them buses ain't gonna be a runnin', you could hitch up to the bus stop posts

You could move out here to Oklahoma. We never have transit strikes. Of course we don't have mass transit either

Remember the old Bob Wills hit - Take me Back to Tulsa? How about Beaver, the cowchip capital of the world, or Guymon?

There's another choice available today with the latest invention. It's called the Segway HT. You know, that new invention they called the Ginger or IT. It's a personal human transport thing and costs less than a car, I believe.

Thanks for the info. But how do you brake the durn thing?

DeadCarp    Posted 12-10-2002 at 14:10:02       [Reply]  [No Email]
To stop it, just lean back. The thing won't LET you tip over (within reason). Goes 12 MPH, that's faster than running. If i wasn't already spoiled with an electric cart, (okay, it needs a lumber rack for a bigger boat) i'd get one :)

Joe, Iffen ya got a pair of roller blades, I have a rotweiller that will take ya anywhere ya wanna go, and if it snows he'll be happier yet, just put on ski's and your off.
Then if mayor bloombucks wants you to carpool, you can tell him to talk to max, as he's gonna be the driver!
Good luck,
Ron
PS, How many people will the mayor shove into his limo???

Ron - Mayor BloomBUCKS says he'll ride his bike (with training wheels) to work. That'll be a sight for sore eyes.
