Several years ago I saw the Memphis Belle at Mud Island in Memphis Tenn. She was in bad shape but they were going to restore her. We gave a donation for it while we were there. Does anyone know if they ever got her restored?

Enola Gay is in storage near Washington D.C. Couple of years ago, there was a big bruhaha when revisionist historians were going to display her at the Air-Space museum with a bunch of openly anti-military, "we were the agressors for using nukes during WW II" pictures and explanations in brochures. Not a word on how many American and Japanese lives were saved and how much sooner the war was ended because of their use.

A whole bunch of WW II and later vets got together and protested loudly. The display never happened...and as I recall the Smithsonian's director resigned under pressure. Since then, she's been in storage.

As one of the others said, Memphis Belle is in Memphis.

I may be wrong but I thought I heard somewhere the Enola Gay was in the Smithstonion. Don't know about the Memphis Bell.
