The next President    Posted 12-29-2002 at 20:01:10       [Reply]  [No Email]
I hate the idea that we americans have to cater to the imigrants languages. My decendents came here from germany and they had to learn english in order to go to school. Nowdays the U.S. citizens are paying taxes to teach children in spanish. STUPID. If I were the next president english would be standardized, learn it or starve to death. Also these illegal immigrants- get caught once- verbal warning. Twice-a finger, three times- an arm. Keep'em where they belong.
My Grandfather was in WW2, fought hard for his country- do you think a citizen of the U.S. who was from pakistan would do the same if they were drafted? Maybe, but something to think about. These doors have been open too long and maybe I'm too arrogant but I hate what the liberals and enviromentalists and organizations like PETA are doing to my country. I've strayed too much and I'm sorry for that but I'm tired of watching this country fade from its roots. I love this country, would go in the service tonight to defend it, I just think someone should stand up and say enough is enough.

I kinda hate to do this but we have a problem. For whatever reason, the US HATES to ask the neighbors! Whether it's an education issue, drugs, immigrants or whatever - it's BEEN FACED BEFORE! Dealt with effectively, resolved, put to bed - let's get on with life. Somebody somewere has resolved nearly every problem 20 years ago, but if the Media can't get it from the wire service, we'll never know. We just paint a wall, stay behind it and chew our nails.

On a personal level, we fix things every day this way but try to get the country to unzip long enough to let some advice in, and we start slamming doors. Why? I have no reason to fear any Mexican or Lebanese solution, anymore than i fear German advice. I don't know where to start to fix this, maybe by asking the neighbors what to do about people who are afraid to ask the neighbors!

One caution: I'll draw a line here - advice is FREE! BUT if you work, be VERY careful of the term "world trade". THat's not a street term, that's a greed term. Right now, maybe you compete with the other guys in the shop, but "world trade" means you compete with every other person in the WORLD who can do your job! And i don't need to remind you, some of them guys are happy with less than scale. heh heh

Here's the problem...    Posted 12-30-2002 at 05:24:30       [Reply]  [Send Email]
No one has a solution to having the worlds longest unprotected borders and having EVERYONE in the world wanting to get into their country...

That is solely a United States invented problem...I say invented, because there is no other country in history that has had the tolerance and opportunity that our country provides...

In the name of 'tolerance' we are afraid to slam the borders shut...we certainly have the ability to tighten them, but are unwilling to 'look bad' to the rest of the 'free world'...

China, The old Soviet Union, et al. have great experience keeping people IN, but no one other than the Brits in Palestine right after WWII have had the same problem with the number of 'illegals' crossing into a country...and staying...

Course, I went to school back when they taught old I am probably wrong...
