well, I lost my horse the other day, went to feed them and 3 came in ,, they all usually come at the same time, well I went out in the pasture to see what was going on , saw him standing in the corner of the pasture,, seemed weird, thought he forgot how to get back,, upon walking close saw a heap of blood next to his front foot,, went to see what he was bleeding from, and the whole tendon to the bone was cut through all the way,,, what a shame, still taking it hard,, only thing we can figure is, he fell through some of the ice in the pond\waterhole, and sliced it clear through, looked just like a knife cut,,called a bunch of vets and other horse friends, and they all had the same diagnosis as me,, it was that bad, well, he died in the afternoon,, he was a good horse that was given to us by another family that loved him dearly too, my sons are devastated, and I wish there was something I could have done,, just a freak accident,, hope it never happens to anyone, sorry to rant just wanted to say be careful,, I guess, just feeling sad too, pat

Sorry to hear that Pat, I know how much an animal can mean to a person.

My condolences on your loss. Sometimes you don't realize how much an animal means to you until you loose it.
