Does anybody out there know of a good way to get rid of skunks under the house? We have an ultrasound machine, but that doesn't seem to be doing anything. It still sprays under there almost nightly, and is awful. Please help!

scatter moth balls (the older style smelly ones - not the new odorless ones) all over the area under the building. Works with all kinda varmits. Cheap and easy to do.

Try using the search engine of your web browser and type in "getting rid of skunks". A variety of web sites with varying opinions and methods are available. Good Luck and I'm glad my dog does it for me.

My dog keeps them away, but if they are already there a dog isn't much help. Lynch

I like to encourage the cats to live under the house. Even the dogs sleep under the house during bad weather. Keeps the mice out of the house and I don't have to worry abourt skunks and other critters.

I've tried those ultrasound pest repellers for bird control and I can't say they did anything for that problem either.
Why is the skunk getting under the trailer? Is there a food source? If so, you have to eliminate it.
I have heard that liberaly scattering old fashioned moth balls will discourage them.
You may have to trap it and kill it for a permanant solution.

I am waiting with baited breath right along with you. Don't anybody say get a dog. I have three that sleep under there and they get sprayed regularly. I let the cat in the other morning and he too had a whiff of Mr. Skunk on him.

Bait them a ways from the house (downwind)...dry catfood works well for this...shoot them when they go for the food...

Others will have other ideas, but if discharging a weapon is legal where you are, I have found this to be the only surefire method...

I use mothballs if one is already at home under something...but have to shoot many many skunks and armadillos and squirels and opossums every year. Just capped a squirel that was ruining a bird feeder yesterday and a possum twice in the last month. Lynch

Also sardines are an excellent bait.

That's the bait I use to trap all sorts of critters. Lynch
