More local folks are getting called up. I fault GW's father for not finishing the job ten years ago. I sure hope GW's information is correct. If Saddam doesn't have any W o' MD, then the US is just bullying the Iraqi's. If Saddam has the stuff but is hiding it, I guess we're better off safe than sorry. I lost too many friends relatives and acquaintances to the Vietnam War. I don't want our sons and daughters going to war needlessly. We are already intractibly involved in Bosnia, Serbia and Afghanistan. I worry a great deal about having to restructure a place like Iraq and how long that would take. My prayers to GW and to protect our service men and women and that hopefully, neither Americans or Iraqis will be mourning their children.

Seems to me everyone has forgotten that this guy shoots at our airplanes----all the time. Sounds like a constant act of war for the last ten years that he's been allowed to get away with.

GW's father did what was authorized by the UN resolution- which did not allow removal of SH.

I'm sure our President isn't going to war for fun and games. What bothers me is Saddam releasing small pox, he's shown every since he's been in office he is willing. Sure the US and handle it but what about the third world countries, he could easily wipe out a third of the world's population. I wouldn't want to wait until the cows out before we close the barn door.

What worries me about this coutry is the anti war seniment that's starting. When I came back from Vietnam I was spat upon by potesters.

My wife just got activated and was told this morning that she was going to the middle east. You can bet when she gets back I will be at the airport. If she gets the same treatment I got upon returning, I'm gonna open up a 55 gal. drum of a$$ whoopin on somebody.

Besides my wife I got a son in the Navy, a son and step-son in the Reserve.

I don't want to see what happen after every other war. Back to "Dogs and Soldiars Keep Off the Grass".

Me, I'm gonna buy about ten miles of yellow ribbon.

Craig, It seems as though 9-11-01 never happened in this country, ( and yes I can make the connection) During the vietnam times, the youth of this country had nothing to remember but the Hanoi Jane Fonda crowds rantings, today we have a vivid picture of death in our own back yard and the anti-war groups are very active.
WHEN your wife, children and you return, I would hope that every 70's vet that has a score to settle shows up at every airport, and gives a true welcome to our returning hero's! It's the only way to Settle the score, from the days when we were ordered to pass through the hecklers with heads high and the dignity of our uniforms, preserved!
Never again will any member of our armed forces past or present be spit upon, when I am now free to issue my own orders.
I've got access to a 6500 gal. tanker load of whooparss to put at your disposal, and will mortgage the farm to finance your yellow ribbon habit.
Best of luck to you and the family, Godspeed
Ron
