Does anyone have a special secret for keeping cut flowers blooming longer-Is there something I can put in the vase to have longer arrangements?
Thank you

Amy, My Mother worked in flower shops for 35 years. Her secret was to add 1/2 can of Mountain Dew to the water. She said all that sugar was food that was directly absorbed by the flowers!! Duey

We always use a little bleach in the water to keep the alge from growing, and sealing off the cut end of the flower.

Amy, my mother managed a florist for years. She always told her customers the secret to keeping cut flowers fresher longer was to keep them refridgerated at night. She said when u come into a florist, where do you see the flowers? They are there for a reason. Keep them out of direct sunlight during the day, but at night, give them the chill in the fridge. It works better than any additives to the water.

Good luck.
